Ok so this is how it works. I copied and pasted ALL of the symbols and added it to a new note in my memo pad. That way it's always where you can find it.

1. Select the symbol you want to add. Highlight over it with your track ball and using the application menu, select copy.

2. Hit the end call button and go to options, autotext. If you have the "call from home screen" disabled to use your keyboard as shortcut keys you just hit the O key to get to options.

3. In Autotext, select New. Under "replace" type a short word that you can associate with the symbol. For example, my ♥ is under bhrt (for black heart) my ♡ is under hrt. Under "with" you will paste the symbol.

4. Hit Save.

Voila, now when you're BBM or tweeting, you just type that word and then you will see the symbol. :)

Keep in mind that the 140 character limit in twitter will include the number of characters in your word, not just the space that the symbol takes up. So I wouldnt replace snowman with ☃.. use something smaller and a word that you dont use, like snmn.. otherwise if you use actual words you'll be trying to say rain and you'll get ☂.. lol yea it's happened to me!
